Treating Mind, Body, And Spirit
Too often, patients are labeled with a diagnosis that might be incomplete. This diagnosis results in incomplete, lengthy, or incorrect mental treatments. We believe that a well-informed and well-educated patient is the critical ingredient in self-healing.
We offer a new and unique perspective on your mental health or chronic pain treatment options. If your condition has been treatment-resistant, we are here to help diagnose why your issues have not been solved by traditional therapy or medication. We offer ketamine infusion treatments, which research has shown can improve mood, rapidly trigger dopamine receptors, and rewire synapses in the brain with little risk of addiction.
Screening Process
When you first visit the Midwest Institute for Hearts and Minds, we will give you a full screening to determine if you are a suitable candidate for ketamine infusions. The screening process at our St. Louis ketamine clinic will review symptoms for:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Bipolar disease
- Chronic daily headaches (including analgesic rebound and chronic migraines)
- Chronic neuropathic pain
- Cognitive dysfunction (difficulty in thinking, issues with memory or reaction time)
Further Education
Before we can approve you for ketamine treatment, we also want to educate you about other treatment options and how your condition affects your entire body. We will discuss with you:
- Depression and brain inflammation
- Depression and the gut microbiome (mycobiome, virome)
- Micronutrients, macronutrients, and general health
- Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
- Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
- Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS)
- Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)
